Hyde School Maine

Private Boarding School – Bath , Maine

Founded in 1966, Hyde School is a private, college preparatory boarding high school in the shipbuilding town of Bath, Maine. The school offers a program based on an interdisciplinary curriculum with traditional core academics, athletics, performing arts and community service.

FACILITIES
Bath School’s campus is comprised of several restored, historic buildings as well as a library, and an all-inclusive athletic center (complete with a field house, an all-weather
track, indoor tennis and basketball courts, and cardio/weight rooms). There’s also a bookstore, a café, student cultural and spiritual centers, and several dormitory facilities.

SPORTS AND ARTS
Because Hyde School’s athletes come with varying sports backgrounds the department presents a comprehensive activity program to pique everyone’s interests.
Students can explore their artistic talents in the Art Barn: an old barn with a front window that shines plenty of natural light inside for painting. They can also produce
original music in a fully equipped, professional recording studio.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Hyde School is listed among the top 20 boarding schools for low teacher-student ratio by Boarding School Review.

DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Students live in single-sex dormitories, with two or three students per room. There’s an activity center where teens can play games, watch TV/movies or just hang out with
friends. On the weekends international students can enjoy miles of wooded running, biking and cross-country skiing trails that extend beyond the campus.
