One of the best urban school systems in the country, Denver Public Schools is a leader in student achievement, university and career preparation. Special programs offered tostudents at Denver’s high schools include the prestigious International Baccalaureate at George Washington High School, STEM at East High School and more.

FACILITIES
Each school has different facilities that reflect the schools’ focuses and students’ needs. Some of these facilities include state-of-the-art classrooms with updated technologies,
various sports amenities and performing arts centers.

SPORTS AND ARTS
The district has an impressive athletic record; the graduating class of 2016 had 18 student-athletes receiving athletic scholarships, five girls and 13 boys, eight continued
on to compete at the NCAA Division I level. Students can also take part in the various curricular and extracurricular art programs including theater, ceramics and film production, depending on the school’s options.
