Located in sunny Arizona, Cave Creek Unified School District provides students an exceptional variety of Advanced Placement courses, extracurricular activities, arts, and more. They also offer Dual Enrollment courses that can grant a student university credit while they attend high school.
FACILITIES
Built in 1995, the school features modern classrooms, a fine arts center, and cafeteria. In terms of athletics, the school's facilities are impressive, including a new outdoor track, turf field, fieldhouse, baseball field, softball field, and tennis courts constructed in the last five years.
SPORTS AND ARTS
The school's athletic facilities provide a solid foundation for the athletic program, which has been successful across the board. State regulations allow international students in grades 9-11 to participate in any Junior Varsity (JV) sports teams.
Students in the district can take part in a number of arts opportunities, including Choir, Guitar, Jazz, and Marching Band.
AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The Cactus Shadows Literary Magazine and Cactus Shadows Press have both won a Columbia Scholastic Press Associations Crown Award in 2019. Both publications have won the award over 5 times in the last 8 years.
COMMUNITY INFORMATION
Cave Creek, a suburb found north of downtown Phoenix, prides itself on maintaining its authentic cowboy culture. On Friday nights you can catch the weekly bull riding rodeo at the local cowboy establishment. Often a tourist destination, this part of the Phoenix valley is known for its beautiful Sonoran desert, hikes and sunsets away from the hustle and bustle of other downtown areas.
