The Marion County School District offers students a Biomedical Science Program, over 15 AP courses, and a comprehensive visual and performing arts program. The district is recognized by numerous publications for the quality of its academic instruction.

FACILITIES
The facilities at both schools in the district include state-of-the-art classrooms, performing arts centers, gymnasiums, sports facilities, libraries, and science labs.

SPORTS AND ARTS
Students can take part in competitive athletics such as flag football, tennis, and volleyball. Marion has unique opportunities in the arts such as The Marion County Center for the
Arts magnet program which is open for all students to audition for. Students can also join one of the exceptional classes, clubs or Marion’s nationally recognized marching band.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Schools in the district have been awarded America’s Best High Schools by US News and World Report and America’s Most Rigorous High Schools by the Washington Post. They have also been designated an Educational Model Schools by the International Center for Leadership.

Bordered by a national forest, the city of Ocala is less than a two hour drive from both the Gulf of Mexico and the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Warm temperatures allow residents to enjoy outdoor and water recreational activities all year.
