Buena High School features a comprehensive core curriculum with Career/Technical Education (CTE) programs, dual enrollment at a local community college, Junior ROTC, and resource programs to ensure student success.

Facilities at Buena include a professional level Performing Arts Center with over 1,300 seats and a new Alternative Learning Center designed to create a college library environment with its own faculty, classrooms, computers, labs, and meeting spaces.

The school offers a wide array of sports that take advantage of Arizona’s year-round beautiful weather including track, baseball, and swimming. State regulations allow international students in grades 9-11 to participate in any Junior Varsity (JV) sports teams.
Buena was named one of the top five performing arts public high schools in the country by the Educational Theater Association. Aside from theater programs, students can participate in arts such as band and production studio.

The University of Arizona awarded Buena High School with its Arizona Cup for Academic Excellence. It was also named a Gold Medal School by the US News and World Report.

Sierra Vista, just over an hour’s drive from Tucson, offers many activities such as hiking, shopping, and community events.
