Established in 1959, Lourdes Academy is located in the town of Oshkosh, an hour south of the city of Green Bay. The academy offers a strong STEM program and many extracurricular for international students to join.
FACILITIES
Completed in 2005, the Bill Behring Commons serves as a cafeteria, auditorium, and performing arts center. It connects with the student union, as well as the renovated gymnasium and band classroom. Students also have access to off-site sports fields and facilities at nearby Titan Stadium.
SPORTS AND ARTS
International students are encouraged to join any junior varsity sports teams such as cross country, football, soccer, hockey, and basketball. Over the past seven year, five student athletes have been recognized as Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Scholar Athletes - more than any other school in the state.
Lourdes offers courses in performing and visual arts along with music. Students are invited to join performances as musicians, singers, dancers, actors, or any part of the stage crew.
COMMUNITY INFORMATION
The city of Oshkosh is the 9th largest city in Wisconsin and has several National Historic Places. The city is about one and a half hours north of Milwaukee and one hour south of Green Bay. Students can enjoy Oshkosh’s parks, galleries, nationally renowned museums, golf courses, entertainment venues, and festivals. Oshkosh combines the feel of a small town, midwestern hospitality with a big city lifestyle.
