HIGHLIGHT INFO

Established in 1926, Mercyhurst Preparatory School currently offers 30 IB and 23 honors courses along with dual enrollment courses at three different local colleges and universities. The international population is only about 15%, so students get a real American immersion experience.

FACILITIES
Mercyhurst’s DREAM (design, research, arts, engineering, and math) technology lab features Z-space virtual reality, a 3D printer, and drones. Other facilities include a new library, a new theater, a dance studio, a dark room, science labs, and athletic facilities.

SPORTS AND ARTS
Mercyhurst’s 23 varsity teams have won eight state championships and have produced several junior Olympic athletes.
Students have nearly 50 art courses to choose from. The school’s outstanding music program consistently sends students to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State ensembles and The National Association for Music Education All-Eastern Conference ensembles.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The school has twice been awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education.

DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Boarding students are able to stay in the key-fob accessible, off-campus dormitory year round, including all holidays and school breaks. Mercyhurst organizes weekly field trips to destinations such as Carnegie Mellon University, sporting events, and Niagara Falls.
