The Blue Valley School District is committed to giving students an Education Beyond Expectations - an education filled with opportunities. This district encompasses 91 square miles in southeastern Johnson County, Kansas. More than 20,000 students attend Blue Valley’s 33 schools, and the district is committed to providing a personalized learning experience to every one of them. The district has five high schools (grades 9-12). Three of those high schools have been ranked in the top 1000 high schools in the US for 2009! International students are welcome as an enriching addition to the student population. All are encouraged to take part in sports and activities while staying true to their academic potential by exploring the many possibilities offered.

Community Information
Overland Park is the second most populous city in the state of Kansas. Overland Park has consistently ranked in the top 10 of CNN/Money and Money magazine’s 100 Best Cities to Live in the United States. Also in 2010, Money Magazine rated Overland Park, the 7th best city to live in the United States.

The city is a great place for international high school students to relax on weekends. It offers many common activities such as shopping, cafes, and museums like other cities. Overland, however, benefits from surrounding open space that allows for outdoor activity as well. Students will be able to enjoy golf, hiking, fishing and more all very close to the city.
