Mercyhurst Preparatory School (MPS) is a Catholic college prep school where students can choose one of three tracks: College Preparatory Program, Honors Program, or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB). Honors and IB students can dual enroll at Mercyhurst University located adjacent to MPS. Additional ESL classes and tutors areavailable for students who are seeking additional assistance in the program.
The facilities include a new library, fitness center, dance studio, dark room, science labs, sports fields, a new auditorium and a DREAM Lab (design, research, arts, engineering and math).
SPORTS AND ARTS
Mercyhurst Preparatory School has won eight State Championships and each year dozens of MPS student athletes go on to compete at the collegiate level. MPS also takes the time to nurture each student’s appreciation for arts with the award winning theater, music and almost 50 art courses.
AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The school has twice been awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education.
DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
International students live in the dormitory situated on the spectacular seven acre campus. The dorm offers a student lounge, study rooms, a music room, a gymnasium, basketball
courts and a dining hall. The campus is conveniently located near three major US cities: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and New York.
Location The city of Erie is located 2 hours north of Pittsburgh. Erie is just minutes from one of the famous Great Lakes, Lake Erie.
