Mercyhurst Preparatory School (MPS) is a Catholic college prep school for grades 9-12 on a beautiful campus. Students at Mercyhurst Prep can choose one of three tracks: College Preparatory Program, Honors Program or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB). All students also have the opportunity to participate in athletic, co-curricular activities and/or social events. Honors or IB students can dual enroll at Mercyhurst University located adjacent to MPS. Additional ESL classes and tutors are available for students who are seeking additional assistance in the program.
The facilities include a new auditorium/theater, a DREAM Lab (design, research, arts, engineering, and math), and a dining hall.
Sports and Arts Mercyhurst Preparatory School has won eight State Championships and each year dozens of MPS student athletes go on to compete at the collegiate level. MPS also takes the time to nurture each student’s appreciation for arts with the award winning theater, music and almost 50 art courses.
Dormitories and Student Life International students live in the dormitory situated on the spectacular 65 acre campus. The dorm offers a student lounge, study rooms, music room, gym, basketball courts and dining hall. The secure and safe campus is conveniently located near three major US cities.
Location The city of Erie is located 2 hours north of Pittsburgh. Erie is just minutes from one of the famous Great Lakes, Lake Erie.
