Established in 1926, Mercyhurst Preparatory School is located on a beautiful 7 acre campus. As Northwest Pennsylvania’s only International Baccalaureate School (grades 9-12), Mercyhurst Prep offers this prestigious educational opportunity to students from all over the world. Students can choose one of three tracks: College Preparatory Program, Honors Program or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB). The IB program promotes critical thinking, communication, and integration of the information through in depth study of major areas of knowledge. All students also have the opportunity to participate in athletic, co-curricular activities and/or social events. Honors or IB students may dual enroll at Mercyhurst University located adjacent to Mercyhurst Prep.

International students live in the dormitory called Pennsylvania International Academy located on 65 acre residence and cultural campus. The residence hall is open 24/7 all year and additional ESL classes are offered every day. The dorm offers a student lounge, study rooms, music room, gym, indoor sports facilities and a dining hall.
The city of Erie is located 2 hours north of Pittsburgh. Erie is just minutes from one of the famous Great Lakes, Lake Erie.
