Sequoia Charter Schools District
School DescriptionSequoia Charter School is one of the largest public charter schools in Arizona. Sequoia offers dual enrollment courses for college credit as well as an Ambassador program in which all international students are paired with a local student to help them acclimate to the school. The district also has one of the top performing arts schools in the Phoenix area. International students make up less than 5% of the district’s student body.
The district’s school facilities include up-to-date gymnasiums, sports fields, classrooms, and more.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Sequoia Charter School offers varsity athletic programs including American football and martial arts. State regulations allow international students in grades 9-11 to participate in any Junior Varsity (JV) sports teams.
The district aims to prepare students for education in the arts after high school. They offer courses including dance, piano and graphic arts.

It's a great challenge for international students to leave their home and comfort zone. But living with an American host family will leave you with a lot of good memories. Today let me share with you my tips from living with host families for three years in American high schools!

FACILITIES Many of the district’s impressive campus facilities have been recently updated and feature modern computer labs, theaters, career centers, athletic facilities, and production labs.
