Nine of Chaffey Joint Union High School District’s comprehensive high schools are accepting international high school students. Several schools in the district are distinguished California Gold Medal schools, and all students who meet certain requirements are guaranteed admission to Grand Canyon University.
Although facilities at each campus may vary slightly, most of them are equipped with stadiums, band rooms, math and science classrooms, dance studios, pools and more. A number of the schools have recently renovated campus and technology amenities, with the latest school update taking place in 2014.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Chaffey Joint Union School District has an outstanding athletics program, and has seen teams win recent championships in baseball, basketball, football, golf, softball, and volleyball. Chaffey Joint Union has been rated as one of the top five Southern California athletic programs.
The district features a comprehensive music curriculum including chamber groups, jazz ensembles, bands, piano lab, winter guard, and more. One of the district’s bands is distinguished as the Bands of America Western Regional Champion and has performed in London, England for the 2010 New Year’s Day Parade.
Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga are cities that both enjoy a fantastic year round climate and they are listed as two of Sperling’s Best Places to live. San Bernardino boasts amazing Californian scenery with stunning mountain views. The Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga areas host activities including professional sports, theater, annual cultural events, and shopping. San Bernardino County is also home to six national forests.

SCHOOL PROFILE 'Iolani Shool is a culturally diverse, co-educational college preparatory school. DISTRICT PROFILE The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) was founded in 1853 and today is the 2nd largest in the US. The district has 900 schools with about 640,000 students. LA schools boast 12 winners of the United States Academic Decathlon championships which is more than any other District in the country. Add to those impressive victories, the school has outstanding individual student and team achievements in: science, mathematics, social studies, language arts, foreign and dual languages, business and entrepreneurial skills, the visual and performing arts, and athletics. FACILITIES LAUSD currently has more than 21,000 buildings in the district. More than 19,600 school modernization projects have completed construction in recent years to provide upgraded facilities to improve the learning environment for students. SPORTS AND ARTS The district competes in a long list of sports, and often wins championships, including golf, soccer, and water polo. The All District High School Honor Band is world renowned, drawing the finest musicians from all its high school band programs. The band has marched in every Tournament of Roses Parade since 1973 and often performs in Bandfest, at Disneyland. Birmingham Community Charter High School
SCHOOL PROFILE Birmingham Community Charter High School is an independent US public high school accepting international students in grades 10-12. Birmingham Community Charter High School places a strong emphasis on curriculum in the fields of science, health, and business technology.
