Hyde School - Bath
School DescriptionHyde School is located on a historic 145-acre campus in the coastal town of Bath, Maine. Aspiring singer/songwriters can take advantage of Hyde School’s on-campus recording studio and workshops with professionals, while future scientists have six real-world applicable STEAM courses to choose from.
Hyde School recently added a new dorm and expanded media and science labs as well as an athletic center featuring a field house, indoor track, indoor tennis and basketball courts, and cardio/weight rooms. Students also have access to cultural and spiritual centers, an on-campus recording studio, and a new Makerspace.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Hyde has a comprehensive sports program with JV and Varsity teams available to all students. International students are encouraged to join one of the many teams including Lacrosse, Wrestling, Soccer and more.
Students can explore their artistic talents in the Art Barn: an old barn with a front window that lets plenty of natural light inside for painting, drawing, and more. They can also produce original music in the fully-equipped, professional recording studio.
AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Niche rated Hyde School the #1 Best Boarding School in Maine in 2021. Hyde School is listed among the top 20 boarding schools for low student-teacher ratio by Boarding School Review in 2021. The boys soccer team won the 2017 conference championship.
DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Students live two to three per room in buildings with televisions, lounge areas, and kitchens. During free time they can enjoy miles of wooded trails for running, biking, and cross-country skiing that extend beyond the campus.
