King's Ely is one of the oldest schools in the world having been founded in 970 A.D. It is a co-educational boarding school school situated in the historic cathedral city of Ely, Cambridgeshire just a short distance from the world-famous Cambridge with its university.
King's Ely offers an outstanding curriculum for all ages with GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level courses alongside specialised STEM and Routes into Languages programmes.
It's very easy not to miss the stunning historic buildings in and around the campus including the beautiful Old Palace which was the former home of the Bishop and is now accommodation for the Sixth Form boarders.

Sports and Arts
King's Ely is proud to have produced some former Olympians amongst its alumni. Students are able to participate in traditional British sports including cricket, football and archery. The school also has its own boathouse, next to the University of Cambridge's on the Great River Ouse and sculling is a popular sport. Music provision is outstanding and the school has many choral groups and orchestras.
Dormitories and Student Life
The well-equipped boarding houses located in a tranquil area close to the cathedral were ranked as 'outstanding' by Ofsted. Boys stay in School House, the oldest continually inhabited building in the UK, which offers a rich mix of traditional values and modern facilities. Girls stay in Hill House, which has its own private garden and enjoys and an elevated position in the centre of the school.
