HIGHLIGHT INFO

Founded in 1831, Grand River Academy requires college acceptance as a condition of graduation, virtually guaranteeing admission to an American university. Its college preparatory curriculum offers four course of study concentrations including STEM, Humanities, English and Composition, and Visual and Fine Arts. The school’s intimate size allows for individualized attention in small classes of six students on average.

FACILITIES
Students have access to a weight room, a basketball court, an indoor batting cage, an updated fitness room, a library, and a lecture center. At the student center, students can get snacks at the café, play ping-pong, billiards, and shuffle board, practice instruments in the music room, and more.

SPORTS AND ARTS
Grand River Academy implements a no-cut policy, so all students have the opportunity to be a member of a varsity team such as baseball, golf, or tennis.
The school offers art courses such as sound engineering and web design. Students can further develop heir artistic talents at the nearby Ashtabula Art Center.

DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Grand River’s four dormitories each have a large common room where students can relax or watch television and dorm parents in attached apartments. Dormitories are college- style to further prepare students for higher education.
