Scecina Memorial High School is a private Catholic, college preparatory school located in Indianapolis. Educating students in grades 9-11 through over 15 Honor and Advanced Placement courses, it also offers the Project Lead The Way program that teaches a biomedical science curriculum in physiology, genetics, microbiology and public health. The high school has a low ratio of international-to-U.S. students, so foreign kids can experience what’s it’s really like to be a teenager in America!
In recent years, the school has added or updated eight classrooms, a science lab, a guidance center and a soundproof music room. There’s also a gymnasium and locker rooms, and improvements were recently made to the site’s technology infrastructure.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Students participate in competitive sports teams such as lacrosse, golf, gymnastics and bowling.
Presented with a wide-variety of arts courses, extracurricular activities and clubs, students can express themselves creatively, or develop their passions and interests.
AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Established in 1953, Scecina Memorial High School is the oldest archdiocesan high school in Indianapolis.
The school is situated in the friendly Irvington neighborhood, just minutes from downtown Indianapolis. The 13th largest city in the U.S., Indianapolis is the epicenter for activities such as museums, professional sporting events, entertainment and shopping. It’s also home of the world-famous Indianapolis (Indi) 500 automobile race.
