Brockenhurst College is a well-equipped and modern campus in the picturesque New Forest National Park in the south of England, surrounded by ancient woodland and free-roaming animals. Brockenhurst College is located on a 36-acre campus in the heart of the New Forest. They have invested consistently in IT assets to make sure that students always have access to up-to-date learning tools. Many classrooms have undergone significant IT upgrades, including the Business suite, Media rooms, Art rooms and IT & Computing departments. In addition there has been recent investment in a specialised STEM Centre and new science labs. There are 27 acres of playing fields, a fully equipped sports centre with Gym and Fitness Studio, a 100 seat theatre and the ever-popular Hard Brock Café, the social hub of the campus.
SPORTS AND ARTS
There are many enrichment activities available at Brockenhurst College. Students may join one of the Sports Academies which are offered in basketball, football, hockey, netball and rugby. Students will train twice a week and represent the College in county, regional and national events. The Female Elite Player Football Programme in collaboration with AFC Bournemouth will allow female footballers access to high-quality coaching.
There is a vibrant arts provision which includes animation, photography and theatre technology to name a few. Brockenhurst College has a fantastic extra-curricular programme with regularly changing enrichment from sports including Archery and American football to Adobe Creative Suite classes to Marketing to Arts. The list is full of fun things to participate with and courses run for 6 week periods meaning there’s opportunity to try a few things over the school year.
Brockenhurst is a small town in the middle of the New Forest National Park. Students from around the forest to enjoy the provision that the College has to offer.
Host Families are in the nearby coastal city of Bournemouth, 30mins from the school, allowing our students the opportunity to enjoy city life whilst engaging in their studies in the beautiful forest setting. Public transport is quick and efficient and students will also be able to enjoy some of England’s most beautiful areas including the coast as well as direct trains to London.
