HIGHLIGHT INFO

Stover School is located in the foothills of Dartmoor in the heart of the Devon countryside, yet it's only 6 miles (9km) from the seashore. This unique, private Christian boarding school educates boys and girls from age 13 to 17 with a balanced curriculum that includes a Sixth Form Centre. The school boasts a 97% pass rate at A Level and 100% at GCSE subjects, while successfully nurturing and guiding both domestic and international students to grow academically, spiritually and socially. As a relatively small school, the staff know every pupil very well; their needs, how they learn, and these strong relationships, which develop as they grow, are the foundations for their achievements at Stover and beyond.

Facilities
Set on 64 acres of stunning rural grounds, the recent campus expansion produced a new art and photography block, in addition to a science and mathematics building with modern technologies. Outside there's a golf course, playing fields, cricket squares, a covered tennis court and a modern sports pavilion with changing rooms.

Sports and Arts
Along with the popular Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels, there's a full range of clubs and extracurricular activities for students to participate in such as caving, horse riding, fencing and trekking. Trips abroad include woodland walks, Geography trips to Snowdonia, History trips to Auschwitz and Sixth Form visits to Peru with Camps International. Activities also include LAMDA drama classes, choirs, big band, chess, photography and gardening. Stover Tennis Academy is run by full-time professional tennis coach, Kendal Brown. Under her expert guidance, the school runs an extensive tennis programme, enabling pupils with all levels of ability to experience the game and to maximise their individual skills and talents.

Dormitories and Student Life
Stover School is part of a close-knit and warm community. The boarding houses provide a safe and friendly environment where boys and girls from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities form lifelong friendships. There are common rooms for relaxing, Internet cafes, fully equipped kitchens and wide-open grounds for sport and recreation. The on-site staff is headed by a houseparent, ensuring all students have proper supervision and care. Weekend activities give boarders the chance to explore nature and have rich cultural experiences.
