Saint Stanislaus, founded in 1854, is a Catholic boarding and day school located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast just 50 miles east of New Orleans. As a Catholic boarding and day school for boys in grades 7-12, we understand the challenges of both the character and academic education of boys. At Saint Stanislaus, we believe there is something sacred in each boy. With nearly 170 years of experience, we offer boys a welcoming and respectful environment where they can develop into men of strong character and to realize their God-given potential. We are located in the small, picturesque town of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, just an hour’s drive from the cultural offerings of New Orleans. Founded by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, our boarding program follows a carefully structured schedule that sets students up for success by teaching time management and accountability. It also allows ample recreation time for boys to be boys. Our beachfront campus, an unrivaled outdoor lab for our science program and outdoor recreation area, along with state- ranked sports programs and college-style dorms create a healthy place to grow, play and learn.
The mission of Saint Stanislaus is to teach Gospel values and to nurture the total development of each student according to the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. The school fosters character formation and integrates faith development within a curriculum that is primarily college preparatory. As an integral part of its mission, Saint Stanislaus maintains a boarding program that offers students opportunities for educational success and personal growth within a disciplined and structured environment.
Saint Stanislaus is second oldest all-boys Catholic boarding high schools in the United States. Since boarding has been a central component of the school, to live at Saint Stanislaus is to experience the richness of a tradition of 167 years. Boarding students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, with seven countries and twelve states currently represented. Over the years, students from fifty- two countries and forty-two states have profited from the rich education and character-building offered by Saint Stanislaus. This diversity promotes a heightened awareness of each student’s value and provides opportunities for the appreciation of other cultures and for lasting friendships with students from all over the world.
