Located near the coast of Maryland one hour southeast of Washington D.C., The Calverton School offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma and a new neighborhood-style Global Residential Village.
FACILITIES
The addition of the new Global Residential Village expanded Calverton’s campus to a spacious 153 acres. Its modern facilities include Smart Touch technology in every classroom, a large sports complex with numerous fields and courts, a new turf stadium, a contemporary arts and science center, a student art gallery, science labs, and a theater/ auditorium. Students have access to campus-wide wireless internet access and iPads or laptops in every classroom.
SPORTS AND ARTS
In addition to 10 competitive sports, The Calverton School offers the D.C. United Academy Program: a partnership with the D.C. United professional soccer team that offers residency training for aspiring professional soccer players.
In addition to two International Baccalaureate Diploma art offerings, students can choose from interesting electives such as 3D printing and film study.
DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
The Calverton School recently incorporated a new Global Residential Village onto campus. The village is a neighborhood-style village of large houses with full-time house parents, Wi-Fi, theaters, exercise rooms, and entertainment areas. The housing is located along a wooded area with direct access to outdoor nature trails.
