Lincoln Academy

Private Boarding School – Newcastle , Maine

Lincoln Academy is a comprehensive independent high school located in beautiful midcoast Maine. For over 200 years Lincoln Academy has served as the local high school for 11 small towns nestled in the area surrounding the Pemaquid Peninsula, Great Salt Bay, Damariscotta River, and Damariscotta Lake. Lincoln Academy has long been known for its strong faculty, dedication to the arts, competitive athletic teams, and commitment to educating engaged citizens and life-long learners.

In the last decade Lincoln Academy has added state-of-the-art science facilities, and been recognized throughout New England for its excellent performing arts program, which include theater, wind ensemble, choir, and film studies. In 2015, the school opened two new buildings: the Cable-Burns Applied Technology and Engineering Center (ATEC), where engineering, robotics, marine science, and Computer Assisted Design (CAD) classes are taught alongside traditional vocational classes like woodworking, boatbuilding, and auto mechanics, and a new residence hall. The residence hall serves Lincoln Academy’s boarding program, started in 2011, which serves 80 residential students from 16 countries and the US.

Dormitories and Student Residences
In the fall of 2013, Lincoln Academy opened a newly renovated residence hall which houses 24 students. Boarding students will enjoy a homelike atmosphere with live-in dorm parents; spacious, comfortable rooms; delicious meals; and a variety of evening and weekend activities. The girls dormitory was finished and opened in 2014.
