A mix of boarding school students always brings new perspectives to Chapel Hill - Chauncy Hall School’s campus located 25 minutes west of Boston. Due to their proximity to a major city, students can take advantage of many cultural, scientific and volunteer opportunities while still in high school. The rigorous academics and robust selection of arts and extracurricular activities ensures that by the time these students graduate, they are on their way to success in their chosen field.
Chapel Hill has a truly classic New England Boarding School feel to their 40 acre campus. It’s quiet, safe, and peaceful, with big trees, bicycles, traditional buildings, and a history that goes back to 1860. Some of the facilities include, a media arts Center, pond with a zip-line running across it, the Barn houses (including: the theater, digital arts lab, photography dark room, pottery studio, dance/yoga studio), a green house, multiple fields, dual heated swimming pools, a gym and fitness center, and the student commons.
Sports and Arts
Chapel Hill offers a wide selection of competitive sports (including lacrosse and softball) as well as non-competitive sports and activities (including rock-climbing and yoga). Chapel Hill also encourages students to get a taste of multiple disciplines in both the visual and performing arts.
Dormitories and Student Life
The school has two female dormitories (Harrington Hall for mostly 9th, 10th and some 11th grade and South Hall for mostly 11th and 12th grade) and one male dormitory (Worcester Hall). Dorm parents reside in all of these facilities. Each facility is equipped with a laundry room and common areas.
