Shore Regional High School

Public School District – West Long Branch , New Jersey

Since opening its doors in 1962, Shore Regional High School has been committed to educating the whole person to be self-aware, culturally aware, and involved in lifelong learning. This mission has remained the school’s guiding principle for all academic and curricular endeavors. Recognized as one of Newsweek’s 2012 Top 1000 America’s Best High Schools, Shore Regional’s exceptional faculty consistently nurture, engage and challenge students throughout an educational program resplendent with academic vigor. Shore Regional affords students the opportunity to pursue interests in the fine, practical, and performing arts. .

One of the greatest indicators of Shore Regional’s commitment to academic excellence is the designation it received as an International Baccalaureate World School. With the implementation of this program during the 2007/2008 school year, Shore Regional High School became the first comprehensive high school in Monmouth County to offer this prestigious program. Shore Regional’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme enables students to delve into a full liberal arts curriculum that stresses the interdependence of content areas and the importance of international mindedness in a global society. Through a rigorous inquiry and assessment process, the program serves as a rigorous alternative to our already established, thriving Advanced Placement curriculum.
