Grand River Academy (GRA) is a private all-boys boarding school founded in 1831, set on over 150 acres in rural northeast Ohio. Academic excellence
Grand River Academy offers a college-preparatory curriculum with 11 Advanced Placement courses. Average class size is 6 students, with a student-teacher ratio of approximately 4:1. Around 75% of faculty hold master's degrees or higher. GRA achieves a 100% college acceptance rate, with graduates enrolling in more than 50 universities across the United States over the past five years. Campus and facilities
The GRA campus spans more than 150 acres along the Grand River in rural Austinburg, Ohio. Academic facilities include standard classrooms, a gymnasium, and the Robert Morrison Lecture Center. The Bud Field Student Center serves as the student social hub. The Productive Growth Center provides dedicated counseling space and includes a hand tool workshop. Athletic facilities support outdoor and indoor sports across the school's 13 interscholastic programs.

Athletics and arts
GRA competes in the Lake Effect Conference with a no-cut athletic policy. The school offers 13 interscholastic sports: Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Soccer, Mountain Biking, Snowboarding, Soccer, Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, Weightlifting, and Wrestling. GRA ranks in the top 20% of private schools in Ohio for number of sports offered. Students may also pursue a focused Visual and Fine Arts curriculum track.

Community
Grand River Academy is located in Austinburg, a rural township in northeast Ohio. The campus sits along the Grand River in a wooded setting. Cleveland, approximately 49 miles to the west, is the nearest major city and home to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, the primary airport for travel to and from the school. The surrounding area includes Lake Erie access, state parks, and the scenic covered bridges of Ashtabula County.

Boarding facilities
Students live in five on-campus dormitories: Shepard Hall, Mastin Hall, West Hall, North Hall, and Warren Hall. Each dormitory features large common areas, small kitchens, and study lounges, and is managed by residential dorm parents. International students represent approximately 33–40% of the student body. Organized off-campus trips run most weekends.
