HIGHLIGHT INFO

Situated in the heart of Cork, overlooking the wonderful city, St. Angela’s college had a major refurbishment in 2016. The school have new state-of-the-art buildings – a learning environment for all members of the school community to thrive which will serve them well into the 21st century.

This healthy mix of town and country contributes greatly to the school’s very special atmosphere, which is always remarked upon by students, parents and visitors alike. They are a school with a long tradition of empowering young women by exposing them to an education which reflects the ethos and values of the Ursuline Sisters and the teachings of the foundress of the Order, Angela Merici.

They try to ensure that the spirit of St. Angela imbues all of their policies, practices and relationships. While they have a strong reputation as an academic institution, this is only one element of what makes the school special. They believe in catering for the holistic well-being of all of their students, through academic, sporting, cultural and spiritual pursuits.

School available for EU Citizens only.

Cork
Cork is Ireland’s second largest city and boasts all the character, charm and excitement of the capital in a more compact setting. It is often referred to as ‘the real
capital of Ireland’ by locals! Situated on the banks of the River Lee, the historic city centre offers fantastic cultural and shopping opportunities as well as lots of exciting things to do and places to explore. The city is truly the perfect blend of cosmopolitan city life and a traditional homely Irish atmosphere, making it a hugely popular choice for international high school students. Beyond the city limits, students can explore the wider county of Cork- Ireland’s biggest county. With its beautiful coastline, delicious food and picturesque colourful towns and villages, it’s no wonder that the locals are fiercely proud of where they come from and are eager to welcome exchange students and introduce them to the Irish way of life.
