Sutton Park School is a private school located on the northside of Dublin, on the stunning peninsula of Howth Head. The school was founded in 1957 by a group of leading local professional and business people as a co-educational and multi-denominational school. It began its first year with approximately forty pupils and has steadily grown and developed over the past fifty years. The school now boasts a modern campus and educates hundreds of students from all over north County Dublin and a wide range of countries from all over the world.

The school strives to provide the maximum educational experience to support academic achievement and personal development, and its mission statement is “We nurture and develop the best qualities in each of our students.” Sutton Park School prepares students for entrance into the best universities in Ireland and abroad and last year 83% of final year students received their first preference university thanks to consistently high examination results. Good communication amongst teachers, parents and students ensure a successful experience for each student.

Facilities

The heart of Sutton Park School is a large Georgian house with a modern block of 20 classrooms extending from the side and reaching back into the main body of the school. The school library contains over 14,000 books and a bank of modern computers to supplement the considerable research facilities in this building. The school also possesses a fully-equipped art room and design centre with a network of 20 computers all carrying the latest CAD/CAM software. The well-equipped science laboratories contain interactive whiteboards and there are 2 dedicated ICT rooms, newly furnished with the latest computers. Students use iPads and tablets as part of the day-to-day curriculum in all divisions of the school.

Sports and Arts

The school’s sports facilities are also impressive. With a full-size all-weather hockey pitch, a large, multi-purpose sports field for athletics and winter sports, as well as basketball and badminton courts and a large gymnasium, students have everything they need to lead an active lifestyle and achieve sporting success. The school highly values opportunities for musical expression, and its famed choir- which performs and competes publicly several times each year- is one of the school’s most prized extra-curricular traditions.

International community

Approximately one third of all Sutton Park students are originally from other countries, contributing to a fantastically international school community with a characteristically Irish warmth and friendliness at its heart. Sutton Park offers students the chance to make memories and friends for life while receiving a first-class education from one of the top schools in the country.

Dublin
Dublin is a small capital city with a big reputation and is renowned for being one of the most lively and welcoming cities in the world! Youthful and cosmopolitan, it is the perfect location choice for international high school students who want to experience Irish life in an exciting fast-paced environment. With charming cobbled streets, quirky boutiques and world-class attractions and museums, Dublin offers endless possibilities for fun and learning. It's also easy for students to explore outside the city, thanks to excellent transport connections both to the seaside and to other Irish cities. The city's beautiful eastern coastline is the perfect place to enjoy long walks, fish & chips and breathtaking views.
