Evangel Christian Academy is a school that offers some of the highest ranked education in the country for international students. Smaller classes give all students access to their instructors and advisers. The benefit of Evangel Christian’s small class size is evident in the academic performance and college placement.
Located a little ways outside of Shreveport, Louisiana Evangel Christian has an 88 acre campus that includes state-of-the-art classrooms and athletic facilities.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Pride and competitiveness in sports is a very important aspect of Evangel Christian’s culture, and it shows through successful records; 12 state football championships, three state baseball championships, two state softball championships, and a second place in Division III wrestling.
Evangel Christian also has an excellent drama program; the school had 1st and 2nd place individual winners in the Louisiana State Drama Festival.
Located in western Louisiana, Evangel Christian sits on the outskirts of a city that has been voted one of America’s most beautiful cities, Shreveport. SCHOOL PROFILE Providence Catholic High School is a coeducational day school located on a beautiful 75-acre campus one hour south of Chicago. The private high school offers its large student body (grades 9-12) a demanding college preparatory curriculum along with a comprehensive list of extracurricular activities. With 20 Honors and Advance Placement courses to choose from, Providence Catholic High School graduates go on to attend some of the top universities in America. Taking the short journey into Chicago gives them the opportunity to experience world-class museums, sports teams and entertainment. While they’re in town they can visit the University of Chicago and Northwestern University; two of the most prestigious universities in the nation.
Our Lady of Good Counsel
Founded in 1958, Our Lady of Good Counsel High School is the top ranked coeducational Catholic High School in the Washington DC area. It has won the prestigious US Blue Ribbon Educational Award twice and named one of “the Most Challenging High Schools in the USA” by the Washington Post in 2017. Currently enrolled are 1,250 young men and women from grades 9 to 12, including less than 4% of international students. We have attracted students from France, Germany, Austria, Iran, Mexico, India, Brazil, Vietnam, Turkey, India, Liberia and China. Students find success in the International Baccalaureate, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), Fine Arts, and College Preparatory programs. FACILITIES The facilities include a 650-seat Performing Arts Center, 51 acres of athletic fields, 10 science labs, a dance studio, a chapel, two weight rooms, two gyms, a football stadium with a turf field, multiple soccer and baseball fields, and 50 classrooms wired with Apple TV / Smart Boards. SPORTS AND ARTS Good Counsel’s superior athletic program has had students continue on to become Olympic gold medalists and professional athletes in MBA and NFL. St. Croix Lutheran Academy
SCHOOL PROFILE Saint Croix Lutheran Academy, founded in 1958, is dedicated to maintaining the highest in academic standards. This private parochial high school provides challenging college prep curriculum that gives special attention to international students through ESL programs and full-time international advisors. St. Croix has also added new STEM courses to its curriculum. At Saint Croix all students have the opportunity to achieve success in a friendly and caring environment that offers a wide variety of programs. FACILITIES On campus students have access to an award-winning chapel music performance space, a full gymnasium, a soccer/football stadium, a rubber track, a baseball/softball diamond, a weight room, tennis courts, cross country paths to the Mississippi River, a video arts lab, and science laboratories. Saint Croix is also just a short walk to over 50 boutiques, shops, and restaurants. SPORTS AND ARTS About 75% of students participate in at least one sport. Saint Croix competes in 24 different interscholastic sports. In addition, many students choose to join one of Saint Croix’s performing arts groups, like the Snow Fest Talent Show. DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE The campus is located five minutes from downtown Saint Paul on thirty acres overlooking Lake Thompson.
