School DescriptionFounded in 1804, Hebron is a coed boarding and day school for grades grades 6 through post graduate, located one hour from Maine’s largest city, Portland. Hebron provides a college preparatory experience in a beautiful and safe campus environment. Students choose Hebron Academy for the balance of challenging academics, competitive athletics, visual and performing arts, a strong sense of community, and most importantly, our exceptional faculty.
In May 2019 Hebron Academy opened its own Kaneb STEM center. The year before the academy invested in a brand new athletic center - Williams Athletic Center.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Hebron Academy offers variety of sport opportunities to all students. Students are able to play different sports depending on the season. Students are welcome to take full advantage of Williams Athletic Center.
With over 20 art classes and activities to try, students are encouraged to join and express their creative side.
DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Hebron Academy owns 1,500 acres of land which includes over 10 km of trails for skiing, biking, running, etc as well as two ponds, and woodlands surrounding campus that are used for academic and recreation purposes. Within 15 minutes of the campus are two larger towns with amenities including: grocery stores, clothing stores, coffee shops, restaurants and movie theaters.

The Phelps School
SCHOOL PROFILE Located less than an hour from historic Philadelphia, The Phelps School’s small student body ensures intimate class sizes and a low teacher to student ratio of only 1:4. The school places an emphasis on physical activity, offering courses such as fitness/weight training and health and physical education, and every student completes two health and/or fitness classes. FACILITIES The campus’ academic and administrative buildings are located a short walk from the dormitories, while athletes have access to facilities such as a new athletic center, soccer and lacrosse fields, all-weather tennis courts, a running track, a basketball court, a fitness room, a wrestling ring, a weight room, volleyball courts, and a roller hockey rink. SPORTS AND ARTS The 2015 Phelps School basketball team won the PAISSA state championship. The school’s new athletic center features a 500-seat competition gymnasium. The MacDuffie School offers students unique academic programs such as their Leadership Program, developed by a professor from the Cornell University Graduate School of Management. MacDuffie’s science department has partnerships with UMass Amherst’s Polymer Science Lab and the Harvard University Science Department. The school also has guaranteed admission agreements with Wentworth Institute of Technology and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. FACILITIES The MacDuffie School’s new 50-acre campus features state-of-the-art technology in each building. A new artificial turf field and baseball field were added this past year.
