Maynard High School
School DescriptionMaynard High School is a small high school in a suburban town offering dual enrollment and AP courses, a specialized communication program, and online courses through the Virtual High School program. The Massachusetts Department of Education named Maynard High School as a "Leading the Nation" school, and Niche.com gave both the school and the community an "A" rating.
Maynard High School's facilities include a new classroom building opened in 2013, an auditorium, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, vocational technology classrooms, a radio/TV station, and a state-of-the-art athletic field complex.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Students can play traditional team sports like American football, ice hockey, and softball at Maynard.
In addition to art electives such as graphic design and theater, the school offers an outstanding media communication program with courses and facilities dedicated to its radio and TV stations.
The suburban community of Maynard, Massachusetts is located less than an hour from the exciting city of Boston as well as several ski mountains and the state of New Hampshire, where students can explore year-round outdoor activities.

Maynard recently was awarded Chapter 74 Certification status for our Communications program. Students can now earn a vocational certificate in communications as well as their diploma. Maynard’s senior project capstone has been recognized by the state as the leading program for senior capstones.

It is impossible to believe March is coming to an end. With that being said, just a small reminder that Graduation is less than two months away and not to mention Prom is next month!!! Time truly flies when you are having a good time and when you are far away from home.
It's a great challenge for international students to leave their home and comfort zone. But living with an American host family will leave you with a lot of good memories. Today let me share with you my tips from living with host families for three years in American high schools!
