Gymnasium auf der Karthause in Koblenz is a specialized secondary school that combines rigorous academics with elite sports training. The upper secondary level (grades 10–12) prepares students for the German Abitur, ensuring a strong foundation for university studies. The school provides a structured learning environment where student-athletes receive academic support to balance their studies with intensive training and competitions.

Facilities
The school features well-equipped classrooms, science laboratories, and modern learning spaces designed to foster both academic and athletic success. Additionally, students have access to fitness centers, sports halls, and training facilities in cooperation with local sports organizations.

Sports and Arts
With a strong focus on athletics, Gymnasium auf der Karthause collaborates with elite sports organizations, including SC Poseidon swimming club, to support high-performance athletes. Morning training sessions, flexible scheduling, and academic assistance help student-athletes succeed in both their sports and studies. The school also offers creative subjects in arts and music to provide a well-rounded education.

Boarding House
The school offers a part-time boarding facility designed to accommodate student-athletes' demanding schedules. Students receive meals, transportation to training venues, and structured academic support to help them catch up on any missed lessons. This setup ensures that students can pursue their athletic and academic goals in a well-organized and supportive environment.
Alternatively students may opt for a day school program staying with local host families.
