‘Iolani School is a private coeducational college-preparatory school in Honolulu, serving students from kindergarten through grade 12 with a strong AP curriculum.
The school is known for its academic rigor, large-scale arts and athletics programs, and urban campus setting in Hawai‘i.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
‘Iolani School offers a rigorous curriculum supported by Advanced Placement courses and small class sizes. A 10:1 student–teacher ratio and an average class size of 16 help students stay challenged while receiving consistent academic support. Upper School students can pursue advanced coursework across sciences, mathematics, humanities, and languages, building strong preparation for selective universities.

STUDENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
‘Iolani teams have secured state championships annually since 1986, reflecting a long-running tradition of competitive success. Students also participate widely in athletics and performing arts, with high engagement across the Upper School.

CAMPUS AND FACILITIES
The 25-acre campus in Honolulu includes innovation-focused learning spaces, robotics and design work areas, and flexible environments for collaboration. Athletic facilities include two gymnasiums, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and tennis courts, supporting both training and competition.

Athletics are built around a “One Team” culture that emphasizes sportsmanship and unity, with broad student participation across multiple sports. The performing arts program includes many student groups and frequent annual performances, while visual arts courses support students pursuing both technical skill-building and creative expression.

BOARDING FACILITIES
‘Iolani’s boarding program brings students from across the U.S. and internationally, adding diverse perspectives to campus life. Boarding students follow structured weekday routines that balance academics, activities, and supervised residential support, with access to campus facilities in an urban Honolulu setting.
