The Tacoma Public School District is the third largest district in the state of Washington. Tacoma’s high schools’ strong academic curricula include the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma and 4 foreign language options and are supplemented by interesting extracurricular and sports programs.

FACILITIES
All of Tacoma’s frequently upgraded high schools have their own athletic facilities and various academic buildings.

SPORTS AND ARTS
The high schools in the district offer a wide variety of sports with students having the opportunity to compete in as many as 21 different sports. Tacoma District’s Wilson High School has a particularly successful and comprehensive athletic program.
For the arts, the district offers a number of courses in performing and visual arts including a unique and nationally recognized glassblowing program.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
One of the high schools in Tacoma District has won the state honor of the School of Distinction Award 7 years running from 2011 to 2017.
