Maine Central Institute (MCI) offers American and international students a rigorous academic environment surrounded by the best of New England town life. Maine Central Institute provides a rigorous, comprehensive educational program that enables students the critical thinking and communication skills necessary for global citizenship and lifelong learning.


Facilities
MCI’s lovely, tree-lined campus includes the new Math and Science Center, a state-ofthe- art building with fourteen instructional spaces, two computer classrooms, a chemistry lab and a botany area. MCI’s sports facilities include two gymnasiums with modern basketball courts and weightlifting equipment, football, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, softball, baseball fields, golf course, a track, and tennis courts.

Sports and Arts
At MCI, athletics is an important part of the educational process, with a comprehensive athletics program for student-athletes of varying levels. About 150 students participate in drama or art competitions each year. The Bossov Ballet Theater at Maine Central Institute is impressively both a performing company and an international pre-professional ballet school.

Dormitories and Student Life
MCI currently has four residence halls, two for boys, one for girls and one is an honor dorm. Rooms are Internet and cable ready. Students may have small refrigerators, TVs, stereos, irons and personal computers in their rooms. The residential hall lounges are common areas for all boarding students and their guests to enjoy. Laundry facilities are located in each dorm’s lower level.
