The Burnaby School District is a leading Public School District located in the center of Greater Vancouver, only 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver, the Pacific Ocean, and the North Shore Mountains. In addition to four foreign languages options and ESL, students choose from a wide variety of courses including Honors courses, Advanced Placement courses, French Immersion, and many elective courses. Burnaby School District has one of the largest AP Programs in all of Canada with courses including Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Music Theory, and even the AP Capstone Diploma Program. Students can join many clubs and extracurricular programs like dance, photography, Model United Nations, debate team, and more. Burnaby is also well known for its programs in robotics, gaming, cyber security, drama, and visual arts.

SCHOOL PROFILE AND ACADEMICS Located on the territories of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation along the central west coast of Vancouver Island, School District 70’s Alberni District Secondary School (ADSS) offers students a beautiful living environment with challenging academics. DISTRICT PROFILE The Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District is located on the East Coast of Vancouver Island and is only a 90-minute ferry ride from downtown Vancouver. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement Courses in the areas on Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. In addition to these AP Courses, the Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District also offers French Immersion and Dual Credit Courses with Vancouver Island University for students to receive college credit. Clubs and extracurricular activities are popular at these schools, students can choose from clubs and activities like Robotics Club, Dance Team, or Model United Nations.
