To be honest, I prefer the Canadian way of educating high schoolers better, but I also believe both education systems are some of the best in the world.

Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows in British Columbia is located only an hour east of Vancouver. Students in this district are offered a wide range of academic courses, from AP courses in English Literature and Composition, Psychology, and History of Art for grade 12 students, to the IB Program. Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows offers a wide range of both sports and arts academies.
Students can get involved in a multitude of extracurriculars including Model UN, student leadership, robotics, poetry club, and environmental club.
All schools have wifi and technology is integrated as a learning tool. Students can bring their own devices to school.
Students can make use of state of the art fitness facilities including gymnasiums, turf field, and fitness centres. Maple-Ridge also offers a range of facilities including a teaching kitchen, computer labs, and theatres.
SPORTS AND ARTS
A number of academies are offered at Maple-Ridge including basketball, dance, equestrian, hockey, soccer and softball.
Students who choose not to take part in these academies can still get involved in sports as a variety are offered throughout the school year.
Other academies offered by the district include Digital Arts, Interdisciplinary Arts, and a Microsoft IT Academy.
With a temperate climate and close proximity to Vancouver, residents of Maple Ridge are never short of things to do. The city boasts two ice skating arenas, public libraries, movie theatres, outdoor hiking and biking trails, shopping, restaurants, gyms, riding stables, and various sports clubs - including karate, indoor rock climbing, and dance.
