School Description

Schools in Higley Unified School District offer a rigorous curriculum that includes music, art, language, physical education, and technology. Higley schools provide a wide range of AP courses, honors courses, STEM courses, and engineering courses. The school district is partnered with three universities in the state of Arizona.

All of the district’s campuses have numerous sports fields, theaters, and science labs. Some include broadcast studios and engineering labs for their accelerated programs.

International students from grades 9 to 11 are invited to take part in award-winning junior varsity-level sports teams such as baseball and cheerleading. Higley offers many electives and extracurriculars that result in an authentic American high school experience, particularly the district’s award winning music department.

The Arizona Department of Education ranks Higley Unified School District 3rd in the state “A ” rating. The Washington Post named one of its schools “America’s Most Challenging.”

The city of Gilbert, ranked as one of the best places to live and learn in the US by CNN/ Money Magazine, is warm and sunny all year. Students have easy access to the many cultural sites, sporting events, and destinations in downtown Phoenix, only 30 minutes away.

Course desrcription for 12th grades who would like to earn a diploma. Course description must show all classes taken in HS and be specific about what kind of Math classes student took  e.g. Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, etc. DIploma Fee $300 paid towards the end of the year. Requires all seeking diploma students to go through an approved foreign credential evaluation agency to assess each diploma seeking student’s transcripts to obtain the equivalent U.S. credits for them
