School DescriptionScottsdale Unified School District is one of the best in the state; five of its high schools accept international high school students. The district offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma, award-winning arts programs, and STEM programs. Scottsdale high schools provide a comprehensive American experience.
Many of the district’s impressive campus facilities have been recently updated and feature modern computer labs, theaters, career centers, athletic facilities, and production labs.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Competitive sports teams in the district including soccer and baseball have won a total of five state championships in the last two years. Students in grades 9-11 can participate in sports.
Students have ample opportunities for creative growth including an award-winning advertising and media arts programs, an award-winning theater program, and a culinary arts career education program.

Scottsdale Unified School District is the only district in Arizona with student winners of the Siemens Westinghouse Competition and Intel Science Talent Search, two of the most prestigious science competitions in the US One high school in the district has the
only Arizona high school drama club to be invited to the world’s largest arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe.
Located only 20 minutes outside of Phoenix, Scottsdale is an urban metropolitan city known for its consistently pleasant weather. Along with a lively downtown area, it is home to many parks and outdoor exploration opportunities.

The district’s outstanding academics have earned it a California Gold Ribbon Award. Schools in the district offer a combined 14 foreign languages and over 40 AP courses as well as honors options. FACILITIES Los Angeles Unified School District’s recent improvements to their campus facilities include new or upgraded sports complexes, outdoor communal areas and quads, and state-of-the-art learning and performing arts centers. SPORTS AND ARTS The district’s championships teams compete in a variety of sports including golf, soccer, American football, and water polo. The All District High School Honor Band is world renowned, drawing the finest musicians from its individual high school band programs.
