Verde Valley School
School DescriptionLocated in the town of Sedona, Verde Valley School is a private, college preparatory boarding school founded in 1948 by two Harvard-trained anthropologists. Verde Valley offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Program as its sole curriculum.
Verde Valley School’s 1,300-acre campus consists of facilities such as classrooms, science and computer labs, a performance center, a studio, and a library. The school’s fitness center includes athletic areas such as a climbing wall and an equestrian ring.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Sedona’s temperate climate allows a year-round outdoor sports program that includes horseback riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, cross-country running, soccer, and golf.
Verde Valley School presents a variety of art classes to choose from such as world music, score reading, and photography.

DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Verde Valley’s seven on-campus dormitory buildings offer red rock views, common spaces, and laundry facilities. Between three to five teachers and/or coaches live on-site in each building as dorm parents. Students can choose from an extensive range of extracurriculars such as circus arts and geocaching.

Founded in 1876, Vermont Academy is a college preparatory school. The private boarding school offers a variety of AP and dual credit courses as well as extensive STEM courses; including physics, biochemistry, environmental science, and more.
