It is impossible to believe March is coming to an end. With that being said, just a small reminder that Graduation is less than two months away and not to mention Prom is next month!!! Time truly flies when you are having a good time and when you are far away from home.
With over 168,000 students, Los Angeles Unified School District is the 2nd largest in the country. Four of their public high schools accept international students. The district’s outstanding academics have earned it a California Gold Ribbon Award. Schools in the district offer a combined 14 foreign languages and over 40 AP courses as well as honors options. FACILITIES Los Angeles Unified School District’s recent improvements to their campus facilities include new or upgraded sports complexes, outdoor communal areas and quads, and state-of-the-art learning and performing arts centers. SPORTS AND ARTS The district’s championships teams compete in a variety of sports including golf, soccer, American football, and water polo. The All District High School Honor Band is world renowned, drawing the finest musicians from its individual high school band programs. The band marches every year in the Tournament of Roses Parade and often performs in Bandfest at Disneyland. AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHM
Nine of Chaffey Joint Union High School District’s comprehensive high schools are accepting international high school students. Several schools in the district are distinguished California Gold Medal schools, and all students who meet certain requirements are guaranteed admission to Grand Canyon University. FACILITIES Although facilities at each campus may vary slightly, most of them are equipped with stadiums, band rooms, math and science classrooms, dance studios, pools and more. A number of the schools have recently renovated campus and technology amenities, with the latest school update taking place in 2014. SPORTS AND ARTS Chaffey Joint Union School District has an outstanding athletics program, and has seen teams win recent championships in baseball, basketball, football, golf, softball, and volleyball. The Tacoma Public School District is the third largest district in the state of Washington. Tacoma’s high schools’ strong academic curricula include the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma and 6 foreign language options and are supplemented by interesting extracurricular and sports programs.
