HIGHLIGHT INFO

Torrance Unified School District offers students an authentic American high school experience as the oldest high school in the state of California. The district was listed as a 2017 California Honor Roll School District.

FACILITIES
Each school features 100 or more classrooms, gyms, computer labs, and athletic facilities. Some of the district’s schools have had extensive upgrades and renovations while their oldest high school has taught students for more than 100 years. Additionally, one of their schools is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places.

SPORTS AND ARTS
Torrance Unified sports teams have earned numerous titles in baseball, football, golf, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Several professional athletes have graduated from the school, particularly MLB players. State regulations in California can cause some restrictions for international students playing Varsity-level sports at their school. Please contact us for details.
In addition to various arts courses such as drumline and photography, students can participate in over 50 clubs and extracurricular activities such as fashion and ukulele.

Torrance Unified School District was named a California Distinguished School by the US Department of Education and he district was named a 2017 California Honor Roll School District.
