It's a great challenge for international students to leave their home and comfort zone. But living with an American host family will leave you with a lot of good memories. Today let me share with you my tips from living with host families for three years in American high schools!

What is the most important factor for international students when selecting a US high school to apply to?
Food is important when studying abroad. Today, I will give you an introduction to American foods you need to try while abroad.
As the 9th largest Public School District in the United States, Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) serves 28 high schools with over 59,000 high school students. In addition to nine foreign languages and ESL, OCPS has more than 30 AP courses, the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, and many specialty programs such as Aviation and Aerospace Engineering, Entrepreneurship, and the Center for Future Educators just to name a few. FACILITIES The schools in the Orange County Public Schools have state-of-the-art facilities with theater auditoriums, athletic facilities, STEM laboratories, and more. OCPS Students also receive a district-provided device so they can access digital educational content. SPORTS AND ARTS Orange County Public Schools have a long history of athletic excellence. Saint Bernard School challenges students to be critical and creative problem solvers. Located in far Southeastern Connecticut, on a beautiful, 256-acre campus, they have impressive programs in mathematics, STEM, sports, and arts. They offer over 15 AP courses, Honors courses, Early College Experience courses, and over 40 extracurricular activities. FACILITIES Saint Bernard School has newly renovated facilities with top of the line science classrooms, computer labs, robotics lab, a Maker Space with 3-D printer, forensic lab, video production studio, and a user-friendly high-tech library. SPORTS AND ARTS Sports teams at Saint Bernard are well-renowned with the teams collectively earning more than 40 State Championship Titles and over 130 Conference and Division titles. Located on 725 acres of land, Salisbury School is an all-boys private boarding school in western New England. The school challenges students with many Advanced Placement and Honors courses as well as special programs in entrepreneurial studies and media studies. FACILITIES The spacious campus has state-of-art classrooms. Media labs are equipped with the latest technology including DSLR cameras, green screens, professional lighting, and photo and video editing tools. SPORTS AND ARTS Students can join many athletic teams while attending Salisbury School including football, basketball, hockey, soccer, squash, sailing, and more. Athletic trainers are also available to help promote the health of student athletes. Curricular and extracurricular activities are available for students who are interested in the fine arts.
