Opened in 1992, Hillcrest High School is one of the few schools in the area offering German and Italian as foreign languages. Students can choose from several AP courses as well as technical/career courses in conjunction with Eastern Idaho Technical College such as electronics, metalworking, robotics, and a Certified Nursing Program. Hillcrest was voted the #1 school in Southeastern Idaho in the Post Register in 2016.
The 45-acre campus includes a performing arts center, an auditorium, a gymnasium with basketball and volleyball courts, sports fields, a brand new indoor baseball/softball facility, science labs, media labs, vocational/tech centers, and more.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Hillcrest teams are consistently successful with athletic options such as American football, baseball, softball, and basketball. The football team won the State Championship in 2018.
The arts program at Hillcrest offers courses and programs such as performing arts and graphic design. Students can also participate in vocational/technical programs in woodworking, drafting, metalworking, and cabinet making.
Voted as one of the top 25 friendliest cities in the U.S. and surrounded by mountains, national parks, and rivers, Ammon, Idaho is the ideal location for outdoor activities like skiing, swimming, and hiking. Students are only 15 minutes from the city of Idaho Falls, where students can find shopping, dining, theaters, music, and more.

DISTRICT PROFILE Chino Valley Unified School District’s has four high schools that accept international students. The distinguished district has some of the best schools in California and offers unique academic programs such as STEM and engineering, veterinary studies, and agriculture. The district boasts test scores and graduation rates that exceed state and national averages as well as over 35 AP options. International students make up 2% of the student body. FACILITIES The district’s high school campuses have large-scale athletic facilities, including fields for football, baseball, and soccer; synthetic running tracks; gymnasiums; and aquatic centers. COMMUNITY INFORMATION The city of Chino, located 45 minutes east of Los Angeles, is home to Chino Community Theater and a lively downtown area with a weekly farmer’s market. El Camino Real Charter High School
SCHOOL PROFILE El Camino Real Charter High School offers over 20 AP courses along with dual enrollment and honors options. It also offers a variety of academic opportunities such as the Careers in Entertainment Academy, the Fashion and Design Academy, the Junior Engineering Technical Society (STEM), and the award-winning Academic Decathlon team. Notable alumni of the school include actresses Tiffany Haddish and America Ferrera. FACILITIES El Camino Real Charter High School’s modern facilities include a performing arts theater, a library, computer labs, a gymnasium, tennis courts, and new sports fields. SPORTS AND ARTS The school has one of the most outstanding athletic programs in the area with almost all of the fall sports teams making the playoffs in 2015. Teams have won recent championships in cross country, boys and girls soccer, and boys tennis. El Camino Real Charter High School is also know for its award-winning Visual and Performing Arts program as well as its Fashion and Design Academy. Students can also take interesting and unique fine and visual arts courses such as calligraphy and cartooning. Burr and Burton Academy
SCHOOL PROFILE At the base of Mount Equinox in northern New England, Burr and Burton Academy incorporates physical activity into its academic curriculum and offers an exceptional arts program with a Steinway partnership and modern technology. Students may choose to attend the Mountain Campus for a semester, where they can take dual enrollment courses for college credit, design their own independent study, explore career options through internships, attend a winter ski academy, or partake in off-campus study. BBA’s student body has a low international student population. FACILITIES Burr and Burton Academy features both historic and newly renovated facilities on its college-style campus. These include a sky observatory, a high-tech computer lab, a large woodworking shop, a STEAM lab, a fully equipped photography and graphic design classroom, an art studio, 3D printers, and a music technology lab. SPORTS AND ARTS The school’s location in the mountains of northern New England is the perfect setting for athletic opportunities such as skiing and snowboarding. Physical education is incorporated into the academic curriculum. BBA’s exceptional arts program features five Steinway pianos, 18 Apple computers with professional Adobe Suite, a fully-equipped photography studio with 15 Canon DSLR cameras, a large new ceramics kiln, a graffiti/street art wall, and 3D printers. Students have access to accomplished music teachers across the world through Skype lessons. AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS The BBA competitive sports teams have won 44 state championships in 10 years. Students in the art department have won five congressional art awards. The school won the Mountain Campus Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.
