Newburyport High School
School DescriptionEstablished in 1831, Newburyport High School is one of the 30 oldest public high schools in the United States. Both the school and the community of Newburyport received an "A-" or higher rating from Niche.com. In addition to foreign languages and ESL, students at Newburyport High School have the opportunity to take 15 AP Courses, Honors Courses, and Virtual High School online courses. The school also has an award-winning theater program that performs at festivals across the region.
The historical yet modern campus recently renovated and expanded all of its classroom buildings as well as its state-of-the-art athletic stadium.
SPORTS AND ARTS
The school's teams have won several state championships in girls soccer, ice hockey, indoor track, and baseball. Students also join in unique activities perfect for the school's New England location such as sailing and skiing.
The Newburyport drama program has won several regional awards at student theater festivals. Students can also take classes such as 3D art and acting techniques.

"Enjoy every moment like it is your last.” That phrase was my motto I lived by this past year.
