Léman Manhattan Preparatory School is the first school in New York City to provide full boarding services for international students, offering the opportunity to live and learn in one of the most lively cities in the world. Léman offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma and provides luxury accommodations for boarding students in the heart of the Manhattan neighborhood.
Léman’s urban campus features a library, a 400-seat theater, art and music studios, computer labs, a private café, and an athletic facility with a competition-size swimming pool, a gymnasium, and a fitness center. The school’s science labs and performing arts spaces are some of the best of any high school in the city.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Léman offers 45 different competitive sports teams at the varsity and junior varsity levels including squash, table tennis, and baseball.
Students can participate in arts courses such as acting studio as well as extracurriculars such as hip hop dance.
DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Boarding students live in a luxury apartment-style dormitory located on Wall Street, a brief walk to campus. Apartments are designed as two to four person suites with private kitchens, bathrooms, and study areas. The accommodations have Wi-Fi and are under 24 hour monitoring by on-site security.

SCHOOL PROFILE Founded in 1867, The Storm King School (SKS) is a private, independent, college pre- paratory boarding school. Located at the peak of Storm King Mountain in the Hudson River Valley, SKS is just about an hour north of New York City. SPORTS AND ARTS Personal growth is encouraged through championship athletics (19 sports teams and clubs) and a superb arts program including performing, visual, digital, and fine arts. The soccer program has been particularly successful for both the girls and boy’s teams. Six SKS teams (soccer, cross-country running, basketball, lacrosse, tennis, wrestling) won HVAL championships in recent years, plus the sportsmanship award, and the boys basketball team even won the New England Prep School Athletic Championship. Oakwood Friends School
SCHOOL PROFILE Established in 1796, Oakwood Friends School in New York State is the state’s oldest coed boarding school with an exceptionally low teacher to student ratio of 1:4. Oakwood is a Quaker school, promoting the values of peace, integrity, equality, community, and simplicity. Many students pursue careers in business or the sciences after completing the school’s comprehensive STEM program, while others develop their musical abilities through its partnership with Marist College. FACILITIES Oakwood Friends’ 63-acre campus features an art studio, a ceramics studio, a black-box theater, a film photography studio and dark room, a full-size gymnasium, tennis courts, and a sports field. A two-acre solar field provides 100% of electricity used by the school, and a student-run greenhouse provides the dining hall’s produce. SPORTS AND ARTS All students participate in one team sport and one life sport per academic year. Students can choose from options such as soccer, ultimate Frisbee, martial arts, and gardening. Oakwood students can participate in a variety of creative arts opportunities such as theater productions, art classes, and bands. The school’s music partnership with Marist College allows students to prepare for a future musical career. AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS Dutchess Outreach recognized Oakwood for exemplary service to the local community with the 2018 Community Award. Alumni of Oakwood include former US Poet Laureate Mark Strand and women’s rights activist Lucretia Mott. The school’s Humanities Department chair, Stephen Miller, was recognized for outstanding teaching with PLATO’s Kinsley Award for K-12 philosophy teachers. The Village School
SCHOOL PROFILE The Village School is located in sunny Houston, Texas, just 20 minutes from the city’s downtown area. The school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma, an optional entrepreneurship diploma, a fine arts collaboration with the Juilliard School, and a comprehensive STEAM program in collaboration with MIT; students in the program visit MIT annually. FACILITIES The Village School is situated on 28 acres in West Houston. The campus has athletic facilities that include a turf field for football, soccer and lacrosse, a competition track, and tennis courts that are some of the best in the nation. Brand new facilities include an aquatic center, an additional athletic center, a weight room and a dormitory.
