School Description

Notre Dame High School, a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, is a Catholic school located 2 hours from Rochester, New York. At Notre Dame, students engage with the community locally and globally, participating in a variety of service opportunities.

Facilities include an auditorium, band room, gymnasium, full athletic complex, and a library with over 7,000 cataloged print titles.

Notre Dame believes interscholastic athletics promotes character traits of high value which will lead to success later in life. The school offers numerous sports, including football, basketball, track, tennis and golf.
A variety of arts courses are on offer, such as ceramics, band, studio art, digital photography, film, music theory, and symphonic band.

Notre Dame High School is accreditated through the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Elmira is a city found in south central New York state about halfway between Buffalo and New York City. The area is known as “Mark Twain Country,” because of all the time famous author Mark Twain spent there while writing. The area has many fun cafes, places to shop, and museums to explore. About two hours away, students can visit famous sites and universities in larger cities like Syracuse or Rochester.
