SCHOOL PROFILE
The Charles Finney School is a private day school located in northern New York State. Established in 1992, the school offers a select group of high school students a challenging curriculum through honors tracks in most core classes, as well as a Dual Enrollment Program (college-level courses) with Houghton College and Monroe Community College.

FACILITIES
The 16-acre campus has a state-of-the-art 3D printer, modern science labs, a library and an auditorium. Its athletic facilities include a gymnasium, locker rooms and sports field and courts. The Robotics program is supported by a CAD program and CNC machine, both which students learn how to use.

SPORTS AND ARTS
There are five boys’ and five girls’ sports teams at the Junior Varsity and Varsity levels.
Fine arts classes and extracurricular activities such as art, music, visual arts and drama are also offered—many of the students in these programs have won regional and state awards.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Charles Finney School leads the way in the Rochester region with Scholastic Art Awards, SAT scores and college admissions rates. In addition, it was the first private school to participate in the U.S. FIRST Robotics competition, placing in the top spot in 2013.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION
Penfield, New York is part of the Greater Rochester area. Bordered by the picturesque Irondequoit Bay at its southeastern end, the town is just 15 minutes from downtown Rochester—an international center of higher education, offering a host of attractions and events like classical music, professional sports, plus music and arts festivals.

Students who are graduated from high school in their country are not eligible for sports. The student must comply with all other NYSPHSAA and SED eligibility requirements. Students must be reported to the Section office using the appropriate form, they are not permitted to practice until the form has been submitted, and can't compete without approval from the Section.
