"Enjoy every moment like it is your last.” That phrase was my motto I lived by this past year.
It is impossible to believe March is coming to an end. With that being said, just a small reminder that Graduation is less than two months away and not to mention Prom is next month!!! Time truly flies when you are having a good time and when you are far away from home.
Located less than an hour from historic Philadelphia, The Phelps School’s small student body ensures intimate class sizes and a low teacher to student ratio of only 1:4. Phelps offers a variety of learning opportunities including health/fitness classes, earth/space sciences and a new exciting class in Python programming! FACILITIES The campus’ academic and administrative buildings are located a short walk from the dormitories, while athletes have access to facilities such as a new athletic center, soccer and lacrosse fields, all-weather tennis courts, a running track, a basketball court, a fitness room, a wrestling ring, a weight room, volleyball courts, and a roller hockey rink. SPORTS AND ARTS The 2015 Phelps School basketball team won the PAISSA state championship. The school’s new athletic center features a 500-seat competition gymnasium. Established in 1926, Mercyhurst Preparatory School currently offers 30 IB and 23 honors courses along with dual enrollment courses at three different local colleges and universities. The international population is only about 15%, so students get a real American immersion experience. FACILITIES Mercyhurst’s DREAM (design, research, arts, engineering, and math) technology lab features Z-space virtual reality, a 3D printer, and drones. Other facilities include a new library, a new theater, a dance studio, a dark room, science labs, and athletic facilities. Schools in Higley Unified School District offer a rigorous curriculum that includes music, art, language, physical education, and technology. Higley schools provide a wide range of AP courses, honors courses, STEM courses, and engineering courses. The school district is partnered with three universities in the state of Arizona. FACILITIES All of the district’s campuses have numerous sports fields, theaters, and science labs. Some include broadcast studios and engineering labs for their accelerated programs.
