St. Andrew’s School is a diverse boarding school for students in grades 6-12 and post-graduate, located in Barrington, Rhode Island. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) School, all students in grades 11 and 12 take part in the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and all students in grades 6 through 10 take part in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). Students can also take part in many athletic teams and extracurriculars!
FACILITIES
St. Andrew’s 80 acre campus features quads, historic buildings, and state-of-the-art learning and athletic spaces. Buildings include a science center with four laboratory classrooms and an art center with three art studios. Athletic facilities include two gymnasiums, a fitness center with training circuits and free weights, six tennis courts with outdoor lights, a squash facility with four courts, three athletic fields, a dance studio, and an adventure ropes course.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Beginning in ninth grade, students are required to participate in activities every afternoon. St. Andrew’s partners with Liverpool International Soccer Academy and has a strong basketball program that has produced countless All-Americans, collegiate athletes and professional players. The school has won many championships in soccer, lacrosse, basketball and tennis!
Students are exposed to and participate in a variety of artistic expression, including visual art, music, dance, and the dramatic arts. St. Andrew’s also has a strong partnership with Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), offering students the chance to study art at a university level.
