SCHOOLS AND ACADEMIES
Langley School District, located in Langley BC, is only 45 kilometers east of Vancouver. It is about an hour drive from Vancouver. It is a friendly and family-oriented community.
Langley School District has been welcoming international students since 1989. Our International Student Program offers a wide range of education options which include Elementary, Secondary and Summer Cultural and Language programs. Our schools offer an excellent learning environment with a variety of extra-curricular activities, full ESL support (beginner to advanced) and dedicated International Student Coordinator at each secondary school.
The Advanced Placement (AP) Program is offered at most secondary schools (Aldergrove, Brookswood, D.W. Poppy, Langley Fundamental, and Walnut Grove)
Advanced Placement (AP) Programs are offered in: Languages – English, English Literature; Social Studies – Psychology, History; Visual and Performing Arts – Studio Art; Mathematics – Calculus; Science – Chemistry, Biology, Physics.

SPORTS AND ARTS
International students who have a special interest in visual art, dance, music, drama, or creative writing have the opportunity to take a specialized Fine Arts concentration at our Fine Arts Schools. These schools offer Fine Arts Programs where academics and fine arts are equal partners. Programs are available for both elementary and secondary students on a limited space available basis. Langley Fine Arts School graduates have been accepted to prestigious Fine Arts Programs around the world.

FACILITIES
Two of Langley's schools - Langley Secondary and R.E. Mountain Secondary - are brand new and come equipped with the latest facilities. The other schools in Langley also offer a wide range of facilities including modern Language labs, science laboratories, wireless internet throughout school, animation lab, photo studio and darkroom, greenhouse and garden facilities, music room, drama & theatre studio, student support centre, student council room, metal and wood work facilities, automotive centre, hair dressing and cosmetology program, 3 full size gyms, weight training facilities, student courtyard, baseball & soccer facility with all-weather turf fields just to name a few.

Studying in Langley means living in an English speaking, Family-Focused city. International students are fully immersed in the English language; thus, they quickly adapt to the international language of the world. With more than 95% of our 200, 000 residents speaking English as their native language, international students have unlimited opportunities to improve their English while being immersed in Canadian culture. Students can also enjoy all that the Greater Vancouver area has to offer with their homestay family or on school field trips.
Less than an hour from the urban centre of Vancouver’s multi-cultural metropolis, Langley’s surrounding landscape is beautifully situated in heart of the Greater Vancouver Regional District.
