Certified by the North Central Association since 1917 and providing 9th through 12th graders many flexible options, Prescott High School offers the full spectrum of academics, including Advanced Placement courses complemented by athletics, theater, fine arts, choir, band, and vocational education programs. Students graduating from Prescott High School have received the nation’s most prestigious scholarships and attended the US top colleges.

SPORTS AND ARTS
At the junior varsity level, Prescott High School’s athletic programs are designed to build the students for varsity competition. The Athletic Department strives to provide a safe and rewarding experience for their student-athletes through all the disciplines related to sports. State regulations allow international students in grades 9-11 to participate in any Junior Varsity (JV) sports teams.
Prescott High School has a high standard in enrolling students in art classes and ensure students to follow at least up until the intermediate level. Their philosophy is that students who take art classes are more tolerant and open, as well as score higher on college admittance exams.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Prescott High School’s US Block course, taught by Courtney Check and David Stengel, won the 2016 Arizona School Board Association Golden Bell Award for excellence in increasing student achievement.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION
The community was initially founded in 1894 as a mining town. People from around the world enjoy the unique setting of old west history and enjoyable Arizona climate. There is amazing scenery and many outdoor activities as well as history, culture, and shopping.
