Canyons School District is located in the southeastern corner of Salt Lake County, bordered by the Wasatch Mountain range on the east and the Traverse Mountain range on the west. The variety of AP courses is one of the biggest in the state of Utah and the district offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. They also have Dual Enrollment courses and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are in business and marketing, family and consumer science, computers, auto mechanics, and woodworking.

FACILITIES
The facilities at the schools include technology-equipped classrooms, science labs, a library, and athletic facilities like a gymnasium.

SPORTS AND ARTS
The school offers competitive sports programs in sports like soccer, cross country, lacrosse and basketball. Many of the district’s high schools have won championships in their respective leagues, with one high school annually winning state championships in different sports.
Many of the district’s high schools have award winning arts programs and arts shows, including a great marching band, orchestra, and music program. Several arts courses are offered at the AP level, making this district a perfect fit for students passionate about art.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION
Canyons School District’s high schools include the areas of Sandy, Draper, Midvale, and Cottonwood Heights. Many recreational opportunities are within driving distance for all seasons and activities. In addition, the district is located in between Utah’s biggest cities of Salt Lake City and Provo, offering international students the chance to explore many new places a short drive away.
