HIGHLIGHT INFO

In picturesque New England, Burr and Burton Academy incorporates experiential learning and modern technology into its academic curriculum. Students may choose to spend a semester at The Mountain Campus where learning takes place within the mountain landscape. Students can also take dual enrollment courses for college credit, design their own independent study, or explore career options through supervised internships on and off campus. BBA’s international student population is approximately 9% of the total student body.

FACILITIES
Burr and Burton Academy features historic, renovated and newly constructed facilities on its college-style campus. These include a sky observatory, a high-tech computer lab, a woodworking studio, a fully equipped photography classroom, art studio, 3D printers, and a music technology lab. Completed in 2022, the Founders Hall has become BBA’s new home for the English and Social Studies departments, as well as a STEAM maker’s space, and a grand central atrium/library leading up to a spectacular view of Mr. Equinox.

SPORTS AND ARTS
The school’s location in the mountains of northern New England is the perfect setting for athletic opportunities such as skiing and snowboarding. Physical education is incorporated into the academic curriculum.
BBA’s exceptional arts program features five Steinway pianos, 18 Apple computers with professional Adobe Suite, a fully-equipped photography studio with 15 Canon DSLR cameras, a large new ceramics kiln, a graffiti/street art wall, and 3D printers. Students have access to accomplished music teachers across the world through Skype lessons.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Over the years, students and teachers at BBA have achieved many accomplishments. The competitive sports teams have won a total of 107 state championships while students in the art department have won five congressional arts awards.
